Welcome to the Northern Santa Gertrudis Breeders Group web site.  The aim of the NSGBG is to promote the Santa Gertrudis breed through sales and promotional activities.  The success of the group is due not only to the enthusiasm of its members, but to their vision and initiatives to continue meeting the challenges of improving beef genetics for both market and client requirements.

The NSGBG annually holds two sales, the March sale is the largest offering of commercial Santa Gertrudis held in NSW, and the September sale is the biggest selection & best value offering of Classified Santa Gertrudis bulls Australia wide.  The NSGBG was formed in 1977 and for over 30 years has sold Classified S bulls at the Tamworth Selling Complex.  Many highlights for the group are outlined in the about us section of this site.  Your feedback is greatly appreciated please contact us.

LATEST NEWS - NSGBG MEMBERS SUCCESS @ BRISBANE!

2008 Eckka results are attached - Congratulations are extended to Watasanta Stud for their entry Watasanta Big Banana winning Senior and Grand Champion Bull and Watasanta Chainsaw placing 2nd in the bull 12 & U 14 months class.  Wonga Stud was also successful with females Wonga Gloria and Gabriella in the 22-24 month Class being placed 2nd & 3rd respectively. Well done to all involved. Pictures will be added as they come to hand.

2008 Sale 90 Bulls 16 Vendors - View our online sale catalogue its Unique! It does all the work for you, simplifying your search of all sale lots in any category you choose.  For example if you are looking for bulls with high EMA figures or poll genetics use the search function to highlight the bulls in the sale that meet your individual needs .  The sale information includes results of Group breedplan, Genestar testing, Morphology results, Scanning both fat and muscle, recent photos and comments from vendors.   The catalogue search function allows you the opportunity to compare the quality and value on offer at the upcoming Northern SG Breeders Group sale. All Bulls will be penned by 8am on sale day for buyers appraisal.  A 2% rebate is offered to registered outside agents introducing a buyer prior to the sale and paying on their behalf within 7 days of invoice.
